MuseumNext will take place in North East England. Newcastle-upon-Tyne is a mix of both modern and historic. It is a meeting place where 2,000 years of history blend together seamlessly with contemporary art, Georgian architecture and stunning modern icons.

The Great North Museum

The cities flagship visitor attraction, The Great North Museum opened earlier this year after a £26 million redevelopment. Highlights include a large-scale, interactive model of Hadrian's Wall, major new displays showing the wonder and diversity of the animal and plant kingdoms, spectacular objects from the Ancient Greeks and mummies from Ancient Egypt, a planetarium and a life-size T-Rex dinosaur skeleton.

The Great North Museum will be our venue for the evening sessions on the first day of MuseumNext.

The Centre for Life
The Centre for Life is one of the North's most popular visitor attractions. It takes a look at the secrets of life in an exciting and interactive way. The building was designed by award-winning architect and urban designer, Terry Farrell, and offers a unique, stylish and architecturally striking setting for the second day of MuseumNext.
